Description There are a great number of juniper cultivars on the market. The one referred to as Green Carpet is best known for its prostrate habit making it an excellent rock garden selection.

  Morphology:
This is a low growing juniper that only attains a height of 6” with a width of 3-4’ on better sites. The new spring growth is bright green while the older foliage turns a dark green.

  Adaptation:
Being adaptable to either full sun or shade, Green carpet Juniper will tolerate most soil types, though it will do better under acidic conditions. It is considered drought tolerant once established.
