Description Redvein Enkianthus is real show stopper in May when bearing a plethora of showy yellow flowers with red veins.

  Morphology:
This is an upright deciduous shrub that grows to 10’ in height, and 5’-10’ in width. Leaves are 1” – 3” long and 0.5" to 1" wide, and are arranged in an alternate fashion. The leaves are clustered at the tips of the branches. They have an elliptical shape with bristly teeth on the margins.
Flowering begins in May and continues through early June. The flowers are borne in pendulous clusters.

  Adaptation:
From conditions of full sun to shade this species prefers moist, acidic well-drained soils.
