Description A favorite of the landscaping industry, Saybrook Gold Juniper is best suited where a client is looking for a tough foundation shrub with a golden yellow cast.

Saybrook Gold Juniper is a multi-stemmed evergreen shrub with a shapely form and gracefully arching branches. It lends an extremely fine and delicate texture to the landscape composition which should be used to full effect.

  Morphology:
This is an evergreen groundcover shrub which grows to 4’ in height and spreads to 8’ in width. It has news growth that is soft to the touch and older growth which is quite prickly. The branches are classified as arching horizontal with ascending tips. The center of the shrub typically has a bird’s nest depression in the center.

  Adaptation:
Does best in full sun to bring out the golden color in the winter. Avoid any site where this shrub would experience wet soil. It is considered drought tolerant when it is established.

  Pests:
As long as the ground it is grown stays dry this shrub is considered free from pests.
